The Earthquake Rehabilitation and Reconstruction Authority (Erra) has finalised a plan to construct two hospitals in Abbottabad and Muzarrafabad having capacity of 50 bed each. Director Health Sector Erra Lieutenant Colonel Dr Usman Jilani on Tuesday told PTV News most modern facilities would be provided to the people.
Erra has initially planned to construct 307 health centres including hospitals, RHUs, BHUs in the earthquake-affected areas of Azad Kashmir and NWFP.Out of which 39 health centres have already been completed and functioning properly in various districts of AJK and NWFP, he said. The capacity of most of the reconstructed hospitals, basic health units (BHUs) and rural health units (RHUs) have been enhanced and all the facilities have been provided under one roof, he said.
