Stabbed Pakistani woman identified

Police have identified a Pakistan origin woman stabbed to death in East London earlier in the week as Sehrish Waqar Sheikh, while her killer who sustained self inflicted injuries, remain under treatment in a local hospital. Police said the incident occurred at St George's College, in Plaistow in the East London Borough of Newham, where the victim aged 23 years worked as a receptionist.
An autopsy at East Ham mortuary gave the cause of death as multiple stab wounds in the chest and neck. A second woman, believed to be in her 20's, was also injured was taken to an east London hospital where she was treated for a minor stab wound in her shoulder and discharged.
In another incidence, a 29-year-old man suffering neck injuries was also taken to the hospital. His condition is stated to be stable. He was arrested on suspicion of murder and attempted murder and police officers remain with him. The arrested person will be transferred to a police station when his condition allows him to move.
