Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani has convened a special meeting of the Federal cabinet on Monday to review the security situation in the major cities of the country in the wake of deadly suicide blast at Marriott hotel last week.
Advisor to the Prime Minister on Interior Rehman Malik will brief the cabinet about the fresh measures being proposed by the special security committee, constituted by the Prime Minister to beef up vigil in the major cities, officials told Business Recorder on Friday. Prime Minister Gilani and the ministers are also expected to give their inputs for improving the security situation in the country, said officials.
