Health department withdraws blacklisting orders of firm

Punjab Health Department has withdrawn the blacklisting orders of M/s Bloom Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd, a spokesman of the department said. The drug-testing laboratory had declared the sample of tablet zonid 400-mg as misbranded, subsequently the Health Department Punjab blacklisted the firm.
However, on the petition filed by Bloom Pharmaceutical (Pvt) Ltd, in the Lahore High Court the Honourable Court directed the Secretary Health to provide an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner. In compliance with the directions of the Honourable Court, personal hearing was afforded to the firm. The Managing Director of the firm undertook an affidavit that his firm will comply with the GMP, cGMP and good storage/distribution practices and would remain more careful and conscious about maintaining precision in quality of drugs particularly for government supplies and liable for sever action if found involved in any case in future.
