Egypt's Sugar and Integrated Industries Company (SIIC) said on Monday it hoped to buy sugar after the Eid-ul-Fitr holidays, and would seek new bids from October 7. "We hope that after the holidays the price will be lower and we can buy another cargo," Ramadan Suleiman, head of purchasing at state-owned SIIC, told Reuters.
"We told the bidders that we will call them by telephone on October 7 to state the hour and the date of receiving the offers from them," he added.
