Principal dismissed

Secretary, Punjab School Education, Nadeem Ashraf, has dismissed Riaz Ahmad, Principal Government Higher Secondary School, district Kasur, from his service on the charge of misconduct.
According to a department's spokesman here on Tuesday, the Punjab Chief Minister's competent authority has ordered to initiate disciplinary proceedings under the Punjab Employees Efficiency, Discipline and Accountability Act 2006 (PEEDA) against Riaz Ahmad, Principal BS-19 for showing immoral behaviour during the practical examination centre at a local girls college. Directed Public Instructions, Mian Abdul Haq, was appointed as Inquiry Officer in this case.
The Inquiry officer submitted inquiry report concluding that allegations levelled against the accused fell within the preview of misconduct as defined in the PEEDA Act 2006 and recommended imposition of major penalty of "Removal from Service" in terms of Section 4(1)(b)(v) of the PEEDA Act 2006.
Later, Lal Muhammad Chohan, Member (Inquiries) S&GAD, was designated as hearing officer on behalf of competent authority. The Hearing officer served a show cause cum personal hearing notice and also offered opportunity of personal hearing to the accused. Later, the Hearing officer submitted his report to the Chief Minister/competent authority.
