The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA), UK with a mission to facilitate students in Pakistan, is organising a workshop for the trainers and students in Lahore on October 7, 2008 (today).
The workshop on 'Train The Trainer' would be held for the lecturers while the second session, 'Student Talk on Exam Techniques' would be exclusively held for the students. The workshop is first of its kind in Lahore to give lecturers some insight into CIMA's syllabus as well as the teaching and delivery methodologies.
The objective of the 'Student Talk' is to share certain management methods with the students such as how to manage their time before and during the examinations, expectations of examiners, how and where to score maximum marks and some common pitfalls to help them pass their exams in November 2008.
The Director and senior lecture at Imperial College of Business Studies, a quality partner institution of CIMA in Colombo, Sri Lanka Pravinth Rajaratnam, will be the trainer of the event. Both the events are important in helping students to pass their exams quickly and move on further to be qualified Management Accountants after obtaining three years relevant practical experience.
Further, there are five papers in the Certificate of Business Accounting and 10 papers in CIMA Professional Qualification (six at the Managerial Level, three at Strategic Level and one final paper called Test of Professional Competence (TOPCIMA).
