Polio case detected

A polio-infected case was detected here in Pashtoonabad area where a one-year old girl was found with polio virus on Monday, official sources told APP. The health officials collected stool samples of the newly found polio-infected patient Hafiza and they would send to National Institute Health Laboratory, the sources added.
Now, the number of polio-infected patients rose to six in Balochistan after detecting the newly polio-infected case in the provincial capital. The first new case was detected in a village in Chaman town of Killa Abdullah district where a two-year old boy Zahoor was found infected with polio virus on June 19, 2008. Later, four other patients were detected with polio viruses in various districts in the province.
