Outgoing naval chief pays farewell call on Zardari

Outgoing Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Afzal Tahir on Monday called on President Asif Ali Zardari at Aiwan-e-Sadr. President Zardari appreciated Admiral Tahir for rendering excellent services during his tenure for the development of Pakistan Navy.
Admiral Tahir said Pakistan Navy was vigilant to safeguard the country's marine borders, and hoped that the new naval chief would continue working for the prestige of Pakistan Navy. Admiral Tahir will relinquish his charge tomorrow at the Change of Command Ceremony. Vice Admiral Noman Bashir will succeed as the new Naval Chief.
