Former prime minister of AJK and President Peoples Muslim League (PML) Barrister Sultan Mehmood Chaudhry has said that there is no difference between the puppet governments of Indian occupied Kashmir and Azad Kashmir.
"Both are indulged in state repression against innocent Kashmiri people and have let loose a reign of terror against opponents," Barrister Sultan said while addressing a press conference on Thursday. The dead-body of a party worker Haneef Tahir who was murdered in Abbaspur was presented before the media. Haneef Tahir is nephew of PML senior leader Yaseen Gulshan.
Many PML workers received injuries when the supporters of Qayyum Niazi, AJK Food Minister attacked PML workers and resorted to firing. Some of the injured including Haneef Tahir were brought to PIMS, where he succumbed to injuries. The angry PML workers hold a protest demonstration and demanded justice.
Barrister Sultan said the puppet government in Indian held Kashmir installed by India is using full force to crush the people. Same position is in AJK, as the then military dictator Pervez Musharraf installed Atteeq's regime and now it is using force against opponents, he added.
Barrister Sultan blamed AJK Food Minister for murder of Haneef Tahir saying that the use of force and state power against opponents if not stopped would open a new chapter of armed politics.
He asked the federal government to take serious note of the highhandedness of AJK government saying that a minister of AJK government is involved in the murder of PML worker. He said that instead of taking stern action against the culprits, the AJK government is still giving protocol to the workers of Niazi. Barrister Sultan said that PML will observe October 11 as black day and will hold protests all over AJK to press the AJK government to force Niazi to resign and arrest him under murder charges.
