NED entry test held

The pre-admission entry test of the NED University of Engineering and Technology Karachi was conducted on its campus on Sunday. According to the officials of the institution, the test was held in a very smooth manner. They said that about 5,000 candidates appeared in the pre-admission entry test for the academic session 2008-09.
According to the Registrar, Engr. Javed Aziz Khan, the NED University of Engineering and Technology has enhanced the number of seats for the academic session 2008-09. He said that as many as 280 seats are being increased in almost all the 19 disciplines being offered by the NED University. With this the total number of seats have now risen to almost 2,000.
These, he further pointed out, included 47 seats that which come under self-finance programme. These too will be offered on the basis of merit. Javed further said that the admission policy would remain the same as that of the previous year. The new academic session of the NED University is scheduled to commence from January next year.
