Environment Asia-2008 begins today

The two-day mega event "Environment Asia-2008," comprising an international conference and exhibition, will begin on Tuesday (October 14) at the University of Engineering and Technology Lahore. A newsmagazine has organised the event in collaboration with Pakistan Institute of City and Regional Planners, Engineers Study Forum and University of Engineering and Technology, Lahore.
Federal Minister Environment Hameedullah Jan Afridi will be chief guest of the opening ceremony on Tuesday, while Punjab Minister Agriculture Ali Ahmad Aulakh will be the guest of honour. Punjab Minister Agriculture Sardar Dost Mohammad Chose will be chief guest of the concluding ceremony, while Vice-Chancellor of UET Lieutenant General Mohammad Akram (retd) and Dr Shaukat Mahmood would attend the concluding ceremony of the show as guest of honour.
