Sindh Health Minister, Dr Sagheer Ahmed will inaugurate Professional Development Center (PDC) at Dow University of Health Sciences (DUHS) on Tuesday. After this expansion, the institute will be able to help more health care students and professionals by updating their knowledge and skills with the latest development in health care profession.
The main objective of the Center is to set a benchmark standards for the professionals involved in health care profession. It provides technically sound and up-to-date workforce in the health care profession.
With the help of a strong university faculty, the Centre aims to fulfil the needs of skills development for several levels including undergraduate medical students, postgraduate medical students, faculty, family physicians, nurses, paramedics as well as the general public.
Professional Development Center of DUHS has conducted more than 200 state-of-the-art workshops and faculty development programs mostly in collaboration with international education organisations. In addition to hands on workshops, the institute also conducts CME (Continuing Medical Education) programs regularly on different topics.-PR
