Ambassador of Qatar to Pakistan Hamad Bin Ali Bin Jaber Al-Hanzab and Ambassador of Netherlands Tjeerd Feico de Zwann held separate meetings with Punjab Chief Minister, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif, at Chief Minister's Secretariat, here Tuesday. Matters of mutual interest and bilateral co-operation in various sectors were discussed on the occasion.
While talking to the distinguished guests, Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif said that government had been paying special attention to improve the standard of living of the masses and provision of education, health and other basic facilities to the citizens.
He said that a number of development projects had been initiated in the province and infrastructure was being improved on war footing for the provision of better communication facilities to the people. He said that special measures had been taken for the uplift of agriculture, industrial and livestock sectors as well as supply of potable water to the people.
He said that quality seed was being provided to the farmers for increasing per acre yield as well as socio-economic uplift of the farming community and green tractors were being provided to the cultivators on subsidised rate for promotion of mechanised farming in the province.
