Former minister, four accomplices declared human smugglers

The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) on Thursday declared former Minority Affairs Minister Mushtaq Victor and his four accomplices as human smugglers after a thorough investigation. The FIA has presented the challan against the accused in the court of Special Judge Central, seeking to issue charge sheet against them under the charges of human smuggling.
It also pleaded before the court to put their names on Exit Control List (ECL). The FIA team presented the fake certificates and letters, which Mushtaq Victors had sent to different European embassies to seek visas. Assistant Director FIA, Omer Hayat Gondal told reporters that the special investigation cell of the agency (FIA) has recovered some documentary evidences proving that Mushtaq Victor and his four accomplices were involved in human smuggling.
He said that Mushtaq Victor was arrested under the charges of human smuggling along with his four accomplices, but the court had released them on bail. He said that Mushtaq Victor had been accused of sending five women and 25 young men to different European countries including Britain and Germany by showing them his own wives and sons. He got their visas by using his official capacity as minister for minority affairs after receiving Rs 4400,000 to 600,000 per person He said that the FIA has decided to raise the issue with Interpol as the accused have contacts with international human smuggling rackets.
