Wapda edge out PEL 3-1 in Premier League Soccer

The 99th encounter of Pakistan Premier Soccer League saw Water and Power Development Authority (Wapda), scoring twice in second session to beat PEL 3-1 at Railway Stadium in the exciting second leg on Saturday. The first leg ended 1-1 on Sunday. PEL started the game on 5-3-2 formation with their leading scorer Asmatullah, marshalling deep defence. Wapda on the, other hand, started the game on positive mood and opened the scoring in the ninth minute.
Winger Abdul Abbas dodged PEL's keeper Mujahid Sarfraz, who failed to hold the ball as Dera Ismail Khan-born striker Imran Niazi hammered the ball between legs of Mujahid. PEL suffered setback in the 21st minute when referee Asif Bin Younus flashed red card in front of midfielder Awais for a dangerous tackle on Wapda's skipper Arif Mehmood. But 10-man PEL team put up dazzling display till interval.
