A 6-member Afghan delegation arrived in Islamabad on Monday for talks with Pakistani officials about the up-coming meeting of 'mini-jirga' or council, Afghan Charge'd affaires said. Deputy Chairman, Jirga Monitoring Commission of Afghanistan, Farooq Wardak is leading the delegation, Majnoon Gulab said.
Mini-Jirga called 'jirg-gai' will be held in Islamabad on October 27 and 28 to discuss efforts against militants. Afghan delegation will hold meetings with Pakistani officials on Tuesday to discuss agenda for the jirga meeting, Gulab said.
Afghan delegation will meet Owais Ghani, Chairman of the Pakistani component of the Jirga Commission, and Governor of the North West Frontier province. Afghan delegation consists of Dr Abdul Qadeer Ranjbar, the member of Afghanistan National Assembly or 'Wulasi Jirga" and Dr Bakhtar Aminzai, member of Senate or 'Masharanu Jirga."
