Government urged to seek financial aid from friendly states

PML-Q leader and former minister of state Muhammad Ishaq Khakwani on Tuesday urged the government to seek financial assistance only from friendly states like Saudi Arabia, China, UAE and Iran to bolster the national economy. Talking to journalists, Ishaq Khakwani observed that any bailout package from IMF or World Bank would be very expensive and would tantamount to a suicidal act for the economy.
He alleged that incumbent government is pursuing the policies of Pervez Musharraf. Policies of previous government such as operation in Fata and those in fiscal matters were being followed, he asserted. The former minister of state called upon the government to ease the problems of loadshedding and price hike, besides addressing irrigation water scarcity.
