Secretary General, PML-N International Affairs, Sheikh Kaiser Mahmood here on Tuesday called for initiating process of dialogue with the militants without any delay to restore peace in tribal areas. He said, "Islam does not allow excessive use of force against anyone rather preaches to dialogue for settling outstanding issues."
Mahmood regretted that military operation has taken lives of so many innocent people on the label of being militants, despite that the government so far has not been able to overcome militancy in war-torn areas, he added that this ongoing operation has aggravated the situation and created feeling of hatred among people for the government.
Expressing his grave concern over killing of innocent people in missile attacks by the US led allied forces in tribal areas, he said, immediate steps should be taken to put an end to this brutality and the US should be held responsible for this violation of international law.
Calling for evolving policies in consultation with all democratic forces as per spirit of democracy, he said, it was essential to steer the country out of crisis.
He said President Asif Ali Zradari should not follow the policies of Pervez Musharraf, which were evolved to please foreign masters. "The controversial and flawed polices are threat to national security." he observed. Sheikh Kaiser Mahmood said that the dream of rule of law in the country couldn't be materialised without restoring the justice.
