Pakistan Gems and Jewellery Development Company (PGJDC) has arranged a two-week diamond grading training course for the gems and jewellery professionals at its Gems and Jewellery Training & Manufacturing Centre (GJTMC), here on Tuesday. This diamond grading course, which will be held in morning and evening shifts of three hours each would be attended by 40 participants.
This course will provide participants an insight into categorisation of diamonds with respect to their hue, weight, dimensions, etc, hence boiling down to their eventual valuation.
Mansoor Usman, a graduate in gemmology from Gemmological Institute of America, USA, is conducting this training course. After successful completion of this training course in Karachi for previous five times, PGJDC is now commencing this course in Lahore for the very first time.
This course is specifically intended to enhance skills and knowledge of the people regarding diamonds and other precious stones. Speaking on the occasion CEO, PGJDC, Fawad Khan said that keeping in view the demand from the industry PGJDC decided to organise this two-week diamond-grading course in Lahore.
