Life imprisonment maintained

The Lahore High Court (LHC) maintained the life imprisonment of Nayyar Aqeeb Shah and directed him to pay Rs 50,000 as well as compensation to the heirs of deceased. The complainant had murdered Atta Mohammad and injured Muhammad Iqbal over some property dispute with the help of his father Sibtain Shah and others.
An additional sessions judge, Sargodha on Nov 16, 2002 had sentenced Nayyar to life imprisonment, while Sibtain was sentenced to 10 years imprisonment and also directed to pay Rs 30,000 to injured Iqbal.
