Rehabilitation of families: Afrasiab seeks civil society's help

The civil society should join hands with the government in its efforts to help out the bereaved families of those, who either lost their lives in blasts or sustained injuries. The ANP Secretary General and Ambassador for Peace Afrasiab Khattak expressed these views on behalf of Chief Minister NWFP at a ceremony held to distribute cash amount and shields among the affectees.
The event was arranged by Peace Foundation for the blasts affected families here on Thursday. The ANP NWFP Chief said an effective struggle on behalf of the government and the civil society for these people would brighten their chances of good future. MPA Haji Alamzeb Khan presided over the ceremony.
Chairman of Peace Foundation Maqsood Ahmad Salfi said that they shared the feelings of the families who lost their near and dear ones in blasts and the foundation has started to provide financial assistance to such families in a bid to lesson the burden on the government. He said that the affected families would not be left alone in this hour of trial and assured that all possible support would be provided to these people.
Sharing his views, MPA Alamzeb Khan said that Pukhtoons were passing through critical times and the Province was bearing human and financial losses due to war on terror.
