26 Oct, 2008

Jamaat-i-Islami Ameer Qazi Hussain Ahmad has said that establishing just Islamic system having a balance between the rights of men and women is the need of the hour, private TV channel reported. He was addressing the women conference held on the second day of the JI congregation at Minar-e-Pakistan on Saturday.
Qazi warned that Muslim woman is the prime target of the west, which is busy making Muslim women practically convert to secularism by using vast resources, such as media and its own weak moral values. He said Jewish lobby is patronising a well orchestrated conspiracy to deprive Muslim women of prime asset of modesty by impressing with the gloss of the hollow western values.
Qazi cited a recent meeting of UN Human Rights Commission in which JI delegation shook the whole audience by attacking the flawed western values and decaying family system. Qazi hailed the JI women workers who travelled long distances to participate in congregation under difficult circumstances for the sake of Islamic cause.
He said none of the secular parties could convene women congregation at such a large scale despite having massive resources. Qazi lamented that today's society that called itself developed is depriving women of their inheritance, and making them a mere show before the society by forcing her into an artificial competition with men.
