The business community of Lahore, while expressing deep sense of grief over the murder of a cousin of PIAF Chairman Irfan Qaiser Sheikh during a dacoity attempt, has demanded of the Sindh government to arrest the murderers and award them exemplary punishment.
The PIAF Vice Chairmen Iqbal Baig Chugtai, Khawaja Shahzeb Akram, former LCCI Presidents Mian Anjum Nisar, Mian Shafqat Ali and Mohsin Raza Bukhari in a statement here on Saturday said that the bad law and order situation had already tarnished the image of the country and if immediate measures were not taken any new local investment would become a dream.
The business community leaders said that there was a time when the Karachi was considered hub of business activities but now it seems that lawlessness is at its peak and no country could achieve its economic target if law and order situation is not satisfactory. They demanded of the government to take stock of the situation and solid measures should be taken to nab these anti-social elements who are tarnishing the image of the country.
