Pakistani envoy presents credentials to Ahmadinejad

Pakistan Ambassador to Iran M.B. Abbasi presented his credentials to Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in a ceremony held at the Presidential Office here on Sunday morning. In the meeting after the ceremony, Ambassador Abbasi conveyed greetings and good wishes of President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani to the Iranian President.
Referring to the deep-rooted, historical and cultural bonds between Pakistan and Iran, the Ambassador expressed the hope that these relations would be further strengthened in all fields in the years ahead. Welcoming the Ambassador of Pakistan, the Iranian President warmly reciprocated the sentiments and assured him of his as well as his government's full co-operation in carrying out his diplomatic duties in Iran. President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad asked the Ambassador to convey his good wishes and greetings to President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gilani. He lauded the existing fraternal and good neighbourly ties between Pakistan and Iran expressing the hope that these relations would receive further fillip during the tenure of the Ambassador.
Pakistan Ambassador thanked President Ahmadinejad for his support and assured him of his determination to work towards further promotion of Pakistan-Iran relations.
