East Europe's top software maker Asseco Poland expects "dynamic" growth next year despite the concerns facing many of its clients in the financial sector, its chief executive told Reuters. CEO Adam Goral, who heads the sole IT group in Warsaw's main WIG20 index, said fourth-quarter net profit would be near the 70 million zlotys ($23.2 million) analysts are forecasting, above the third-quarter figure.
"Our client base is very diversified and none of our companies has called in of late, saying the crisis had wiped out their growth," he said in an interview. "We still expect dynamic growth in 2009." He added that Asseco's bottom line will be cushioned by its diversification and lesser reliance on software integration than many of its rivals. "Maintenance and system modifications make up a big chunk in our sales breakdown - they stand for around 35-40 percent of our revenue," Goral said.
