Obama's concerns on Kashmir issue lauded

Views expressed by US Presidential hopeful Barack Obama on the importance of resolving Kashmir issue has been welcomed by the UK-based Justice Foundation Kashmir Centre.
The Centre Director, Professor Nazir Ahmad Shawl in a statement has appreciated Obama's remarks that United States should help resolve the long lingering Kashmir dispute between India and Pakistan for the greater stability of region and his pledge to facilitate an 'outcome oriented understanding' between two the neighbouring countries in case he enters the White House.
Professor Shawl said that people of Jammu and Kashmir appreciate this concern of Democratic Presidential candidate and was hopeful Obama would also take notice of the appalling human right situation in the agitated part of Jammu and Kashmir. The JFKC official criticised the Indian government policies in the state and said by detaining the APHC leadership, it is behaving in the most undemocratic manner.
