AVCC, CPLC recover kidnapped boy, arrest four

In a successful operation, the Anti-Violence Crime Cell (AVCC) and CPLC, arrested four persons including mastermind of kidnapping for ransom gang and recovered the kidnapped boy being kept in chains.
According to details, on a tip off, DSP AVCC Rao Aslam carried out a successful raid on a house in Block-12 of Gulistan-e-Jauhar along with a police party and CPLC members Najeb Danawala and Shahid Ghaffar and arrested master mind Suleman Qureshi, two accomplices Zubair, Imran Ehsan and Lady Mst Laiba and safely recovered the 13-year old kidnapped boy, Talaha Ahmed Siddiqi son of Anis Ahmed Siddiqi, a Chief Engineer in Merchant Navy, being kept in a room in chain.
On November 2, Anees Siddiqi was going in his car from Gulshan-e-Iqbal to his residence in New Town when intercepted by kidnappers near Old DC Office in Gulshan-e-Iqbal Block-14. Later they contacted him over telephone and demanded ransom of Rs 25 million.
The AVCC and CPLC, in a successful joint operation, recovered the boy safely. The accused had hired the house to keep the boy there. Police recovered two pistols from the gangsters. Earlier on October 19, this gang had kidnapped a builder Khurram Javed and demanded Rs 25 million as ransom and later released him on payment of Rs one million on October 26.
