The Secretary General of the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu has expressed deep concern over the new wave of detaining Kashmiri leaders under black laws by the Indian authorities. While talking to media men in Istanbul, Professor Ihsanoglu has condemned the continued use of force against Kashmiri people in occupied Kashmir, KMS reported.
He has also urged the Indian authorities to refrain from such activities and immediately release Kashmiri detainees in order to prevent the security situation in the area from deteriorating further. Professor Ekmeleddin said that OIC supports Kashmiris' right to self-determination in accordance with the United Nations resolution to resolve the 60-year-old dispute between India and Pakistan.
