Minister seeks bankers' active role for economic stability

NWFP Minister for Finance Engr Muhammad Hamayun Khan on Friday said that the bankers could play an active role in the development and economic stability of the country. He assured the banks and financial institutions of NWFP that the provincial government would ensure its best co-ordination with them in the financial transactions besides providing a congenial atmosphere to them.
He was talking to the regional head of Allied Bank Limited (ABL) Jamil Khan who called on him at his office in Peshawar on Friday. Chief manager ABL Peshawar Gohar Rafiq Khattak and Deputy Secretary Finance Nazir Awan were also present on the occasion. The minister said they had been elevated to this post by the people and it was his cherished desire to explore ways and means to solve the problems of the people. He said a good trend of mutual relationship and understanding would be developed so that the bank could play its due role positively.
Commending the active role of ABL management, the minister said he expected that the ABL officers will continue extend their co-ordination in future so that the province could confront its financial matters easily. The ABL Regional Head pledged his constructive support to the provincial government in running its financial matters and stated that he would carry bright prospects for developing the financial position of the province.
