As many as 169 Sikh Yatrees from across the world arrived here in Lahore on Sunday to celebrate the 540th birth anniversary of Guru Nanak, the founder of the Sikh religion.
The Pakistan Sikh Gurdawara Parbandhak Committee (PSGPC) received them at the Allama Iqbal International Airport in the provincial capital, private news channel reported.
Chairman of World Muslim-Sikh Federation (WMSF), Manmohan Singh Khalsa and President Nazar Khan Lodhi expressed their delight at the reception and respect they got after arriving in Pakistan. "It is a sacred land", they commented, adding "it seems as if we are among our own people."
