Technical Education and Vocational Training Authority (Tevta) has prepared a well-knitted programme costing more than Rs 2.30 billion for initiating market driven courses in the Punjab. Official sources told Business Recorder here on Tuesday that under the programme modern technical training would be imparted to 60,000 students in various trade fields in the Punjab.
The concept of this programme was to produce maximum trained and skilled work force for catering the needs and requirements of industrial and agriculture sectors because the development of both the sectors was co-related with skilled force. The induction of skilled and trained work forces in industrial and agriculture sectors was need of the hour and it will help in attaining yielding results and support in brining down the unemployment graph in the Punjab.
Besides, the trained and skilled work force especially in industrial sector would not only supportive in producing quality products but also help in increasing the overall production, sources added.
