Indian central bank sells net $3.8 billion in September

India's central bank sold a net $3.8 billion in intervention in September, when the rupee dropped past the 47 per dollar level to its weakest in more than 5 years. The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) sold $6.48 billion in September and bought $2.7 billion, the central bank's monthly bulletin showed on Wednesday.
