GCU donates relief goods to quake victims

The Vice Chancellor GC University Lahore Dr Khalid Aftab handed over relief goods worth one million Rupees to DCO Lahore for the earthquake affected people of Balochistan in a ceremony arranged at the GCU campus today. These relief goods have been gathered in a camp installed by the Welfare Society at the university campus.
The relief goods included Quilts, Blanket, Pulses, Dry Milk, Biscuits, Rice, Flour, Sugar and Medicines. The Vice Chancellor GC University Lahore Dr Khalid Aftab while speaking on the occasion said that the institution has enriched academic traditions. He said that GCU students have always been supporting to the people who are affected by the natural calamities in recent times.
He appreciated the volunteers of Welfare Society for contributing to the cause of humanity. DCO Lahore Sajjad Bhutta said on the occasion that contribution to the welfare of humanity is the legacy of human beings. He further said that to feel for others is a good thing and the GCU Lahore Welfare Society students, their incharge Professor Khalid Manzoor Butt have done an excellent teamwork.
