Lahore traders decide in favour of PIAF

The Lahore's business community has already given its verdict in the favour of the PIAF-Founders Alliance as it has set new standards of excellence by extending support to business community for the cause of economic turnaround.
This was the consensus among the speakers including Chairman Pakistan Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association Kashif Sajjad Sheikh, Chairman Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers Malik Mohammad Aslam, Chairman Lahore Township Industrial Association Amjad Ali Jawa and Executive Member PPMA Baber Mehmood Chaudhry while speaking at a luncheon reception hosted by the Chairman Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate Mian Nauman Kabir.
The Chairman PPMA Kashif Sajjad Sheikh said that present economic meltdown calls for such a leadership at every tier which has the potential to give guidelines to the government in right direction and the PIAF-Founders Alliance had proved itself as true representative of the business community. He spoke about the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) office-bearers and said that during the year they put in their best efforts for getting solved all the issues of the business community. He severely criticised the State Bank of Pakistan for making another two percent increase in discount rates saying that it would do no good to the industrial sector that has already been in bad shape.
Corporate Class Candidates Mian Muzaffar Ali, Tahir Javaid Malik, Mohammad Imran Khan, Haroon Chaudhry, Syed Mohammad Umair, Mirza Javaid Iqbal, Kashif Younis Mehr, S. Mahmood Ghaznavi, Shahzad Azam Khan, Munir Ahmed Bhatti, Kh. Imtiaz Ahmad, Arshad Baig, Siddiq-ur-Rehman, Shakeel Ahmad and Tariq Mahmood were also present on the occasion.
Chairman Pakistan Association of Automotive Parts and Accessories Manufacturers Malik Mohammad Aslam said that gone are the days when people were used to elect fake leaders who have no genuine agenda. Now every businessman knows well that only a true leadership can make a difference, he added.
He further said that the country at the moment was passing through unprecedented financial crisis and to cope with the situation everybody would have to play its role. Meanwhile, the PIAF-Founders Alliance leaders Mian Mohammad Ashraf and Mian Anjum Nisar urged the government to chalk out a plan to ensure relief to the business community that was under tremendous pressure.
