Amir Jamaat-e Islami Pakistan Qazi Hussain Ahmed has said he is ready to accept the challenge of running the government if President Zardari himself announces that the PPP is quitting the government. He was talking to the reporters at Mansoorah after the central executive meeting of Jamaat-i-Islami Pakistan here on Friday.
He said this in response to the Prime Minister's statement in the Senate in which he said that he would quit the government if any body accepts the challenge of solving the economic and other crisis faced by the country. He also said that the present rulers looted Rs 400 billion and if the National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) was not issued then this amount would have been in the exchequer.
He said that it was difficult for the 80 percent of the population of the country to make their both ends meet and the bureaucracy and the ruling politicians were busy in looting the country. He said that we don't need the help of International Monetery Fund (IMF) if our ruling and elite class bring their foreign currency accounts back to Pakistan.
He said that having foreign currency accounts abroad in these circumstances is dishonesty with the country. He demanded that supply line of food and transportation of goods to the Nato and American forces should be suspended.
He also said that establishment was involved in the conspiracy to dismember Pakistan because they were involved in the migration of thousands of people from Bajaur, Mansehra and other tribal areas to give safe passage to the American and Nato forces. He said that the establishment was the biggest hurdle in the way of implementing the joint statement of the parliament, which demanded that operation in tribal areas should be stopped immediately.
He also said that India and Israel want the dismemberment of Pakistan because it was the only Islamic nuclear power and they were behind raising the issue of greater Pakhtoonistan and they were also behind raising the issue that provinces should be given autonomy according to the declaration of 1940. He also demanded that government should again start helping the Kashmiri Mujaheedin to solve the water crisis and they could be used as pressure groups.
He said that India was stopping the water of our rivers and recently they stopped the water of Chenab and if this practice is not stopped then our country will turn into desert. He further said that the Khidmat-e-Khalq foundation was busy in helping the earth quake victims of Balochistan and they were also working for the rehabilitation of Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) of tribal areas.
