Adelaide's hangover after Asian disappointment

Adelaide United's fall-out from their AFC Champions' League disappointment continued with a 3-0 A-League loss to Central Coast Mariners on Saturday. Adelaide, who went down to Japan's Gamba Osaka in last weekend's final 5-0 on aggregate, struggled to make any impression against the Mariners in their postponed away match.
It was Adelaide's fifth match in two weeks and it clearly showed as Mariners won easily through goals from Matt Simon, Sasho Petrovski and Adrian Caceres. It was the only A-League match played this weekend.
