Activity at Karachi and Qasim ports

The Karachi Port handled 65,838 tonnes of cargo including 38,186 tonnes of import, 27,652 tonnes of export, 3,338 loaded and empty containers (TEUs) during last 24 hours ending at 0700 hours on Saturday.
The freights comprised of 64,838 tonnes of dry cargo including 33,721 tonnes of general cargo; 10,271 tonnes of wheat; 1,947 tonnes of SB meal; 3,265 tonnes of fertiliser; 9,000 tonnes of cement; 6,634 tonnes of clinker and 1,000 tonnes of oil/liquid cargo.
Five ships namely Hansa Stavenger, Sima Pride, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Morning Sea Gul and Nordwoge sailed out to sea during the reported period. Seven vessels viz Nordwoge, Ltc Calvin P. Titus, Hyderabad, Sea Al-Batros, Y M Improvement, Dredger 105 and Song Shan are currently at the berths.
Three ships namely Y M Improvement, Sea Al-Batros and Green Valley expected to sail on Saturday while three vessels viz Banglar Urmi, Ashraf B and MMM Kingston expected to sail on Sunday and another ship namely Fusion-I is expected to sail on Monday.
Three ships namely Green Valley, India Express and Honour due to arrive on Saturday while another ship namely Han Sprinter is due to arrive on Sunday. Ten vessels viz Splandour, Rising Om, X-Press Khyber, Mol Admiration, Sima Sahba, Hansa Liberty, Montania, Kota Segar, Nordana and Darya Raag are due to arrive on Monday.

Two ships namely CV Apl Almandine and MT Sulawesi Palm sailed out to sea on Saturday morning while another ship namely MT Qem Star is expected to sail on the same day. A total of eight ships namely Voc Progress, Darya Radhe, Pearl River, Alpha Afovos, MSC Lucia, MSC Finland, Gan Bake San and Al-Barilla carrying wheat, coke, containers and cement respectively are currently at the outer anchorage.
Six vessels viz CV Apl Almandine, MV Musan, MV Gladiator, MT Sulawesi Palm, MT Qem Star and MV Y M Cultivation are currently occupying berths to load/offload containers, cement, wheat, palm oil and coal respectively during the report period.
Two container ships namely MSC Finland and Maersk Novazzano carrying containers are expected to take berths at Qasim International Containers Terminal on Saturday. Four vessels viz MV Alexi-III, CV Bux Lagoon, MT Sea Sky and MT Al-Soor-II to load/offload cement, containers, furnace oil and diesel oil due to arrive on Saturday while another ship namely MT Iron Monger-III with crude oil is due to arrive on Sunday.
