Wheat prices were sharply higher amid modest business on the grain market on Saturday as most of the commodities were unmoved due to lack of fresh of leads, dealers said.
On the cereal side wheat went up with steep gain in a single day rally, gaining Rs 50 to Rs 2950-2965 in process of trading, masoor Canada fell by Rs 50 to Rs 9500, gur inferior type maintained its overnight level at Rs 2300 while the best type gained Rs 100 to Rs 3300, they added. On the grain side Bajra low type lost Rs 50 to Rs 1625 while the best type did not move any side due to balanced demand and supply position, they sad.
