Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani on Tuesday left for Brussels, where he will attend the meeting of army chiefs of Nato member countries. During his three-day visit, he will take part in the meeting, which will discuss the prevailing security round the globe in general and situation in the region in particular.
It is being expected that General Kayani will raise the matter regarding the increasing attacks on Pakistani territory by US forces in Afghanistan. The Nato Military Chief will also discuss in details the matters related to Afghanistan operation by its forces.
Military Committee is the highest military forum of Nato that meets regularly to discuss various strategic issues concerning to Nato. The COAS will discuss the complexities of security issues and the need for a comprehensive approach, while fully addressing Pakistan's interest.
