Minister of state for Interior Tasleem Ahmed Qureshi has said that all Parties parliamentary committee would meet in Islamabad in a couple of days to discuss the resolutions adopted in camera session of the parliament and to check the air strikes by United States forces in Pakistan territory and it would be a very important session of the committee.
Talking to newsmen at Multan airport on Tuesday he said that the country was facing severe economic and financial crisis, now everyone should work to strengthen it economically by shedding their differences and President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani had openly stated that it was not the time for politicking but it is the time to yank the country out of crisis.
No politician, no bureaucrat or any other person would go unpunished if they were involved in financial scandal and flight of capital in the light of statement of Khanani & Kalia and they were being interrogated in the financial scam. The Minister said that Pak rupee strengthened since the elements involved in financial scandal were sent behind bars.
He was optimistic that the government would succeed in bringing back the wealth from abroad. He refuted the charges of victimisation against the money- changers. The minister said that we are receiving complaints that banned sectarian outfits were functioning in Southern Punjab and we would decide an effective crackdown against them.
The Minister dispelled the impression and allegation of MQM chief Altaf Hussain that Taliban were doing activities in Karachi while there was no Taliban problem in Karachi. If MQM had any reservations or fears about the Taliban these could be removed .He said that the government had invited tenders for the procurement of modern security equipment to monitor the activities of the suspects.
