Medical students urged to follow code of conduct

We all have good expectations from young doctors for a better healthcare delivery system and medical students must ensure providing respectful, non-discriminatory and thoughtful service to the patients. This was said by vice-chancellor, Professor Malik Hussain Mubbashar, University of Health Sciences (UHS), while addressing the first year MBBS students here at Allama Iqbal Medical College, here on Tuesday.
He said that medical students must follow professional and ethical code of conduct. He said the UHS was committed to upgrading the standard of medical professionals by providing them proper training in a bio-psycho-social model of healthcare, which expected the doctor to be an effective communicator and ethical practitioner of the art and science of medicine.
