Criminals' gang busted

CIA Police City division have busted a gang of criminals involved in a number of incidents of street crimes, dacoity, cash snatching and arrested its seven members and seized looted property as well as illegal weapons from them. The accused have confessed to 80 such incidents during preliminary interrogation.
As per details, Capital City Police Officer (CCPO), Muhammad Pervez Rathore directed SSP Investigation Zulifqar Hameed to take effective measures for curbing crimes in City division and a special team was constituted under the supervision of SP CIA Muhammad Umar Virk and other officials, which collected the particulars of Abdullah gang and arrested its seven members from Tajpura Park Shahdara on a tip-off.
The felons of this gang used to snatch valuables, besides committing house robberies and cash snatching from passers-by at gunpoint. 50 cases have also been traced against them in Ravi Road, Islampura, Old Anarkali, Badami Bagh, Misri Shah, Shadbagh, Qilla Gujjar Singh, Garhi Shahu, Mughalpura, Ghaziabad, Mochi Gate, Gulshan Iqbal, Liqatabad, Shahdara Town, Badami Bagh, Rang Mehal, Ravi Road, New Anarkali and Shalimar police stations.
The police have recovered looted property worth lakh of rupees as well a illegal weapons from them. The arrested were identified as Mehboob Alam alias Shahdzad, Muhammad Usman, Khurram Shahzad, Syed Suleman, Hafiz Adeel, Nadeem alias Lubna. A special team has been constituted for the arrest of criminal of this gang who are still at large and further investigation is in progress. Capital City Police Officer, Muhammad Pervez Rathore has announced cash prizes and commendatory certificates for the police raiding team.
