Lack of interest on the part of the investors, traders and institutions seized the stock business in Lahore on Wednesday as no share was traded, creating a historic sheet in the record of the Lahore Stock Exchange (LSE). The LSE-25 index remained unchanged at previous level of 2825.36 points.
Though, the sentiments remained depressed for the last couple of months in the LSE, there have been trading of shares of one-two companies almost on every day. However, not a single share was traded today. In the absence of any trading, all the 85 companies were closed at their overnight levels. A news regarding possibility of removal of floor from December 1, appeared in this leading financial daily has attracted the investors and brokers, who kept on contacting the newspaper all the day to confirm the credibility of the information.
