Criticising the present Punjab government the central leader and former Punjab Chief minister, Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, has said that the present provincial government has failed to attract foreign investment to run development projects particularly in IT sector due to its hasty decision.
He said this while addressing the legislators, office bearers and ticket holders from Jhang and Toba Tek Singh, here at Muslim League House on Thursday. Elahi alleged that IT experts have already abandoned IT Tower Project while a Chinese firm has filed a suit. Meanwhile, he said that the PML-Q had given due attention to IT sector and attracted huge foreign investment during its tenure.
If IT Tower Project was initiated which on completion would have to provide job opportunities to over 7,000 people but due to steps taken by the provincial government and experts abandoned the project while the Chinese firm has filed a suit in the court of law, he added. The participants of the meeting expressed full confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry brothers and lauded their efforts for keeping the party united.
