Allied Bank, Telecard sign accord

The Allied Bank has signed a service agreement with Telecard to set up a call centre for outbound customer calls. A statement here on Thursday said that according to the agreement, Telecard will provide Allied Bank with infrastructure, technical/ administrative support and all the related software/ applications in setting up a state-of-the-art call centre on international standards.
It said that following the launch of its credit card recently, Allied Bank is all set to introduce other consumer products such as Auto Finance and Mortgages. The objective of this call centre is to target a selected segment of customers for the Bank's upcoming commercial, retail and consumer banking products.
Riaz Hussain, Acting Group Chief, Consumer and Personal Banking Group (CPBG), Allied Bank and Sultan ul Arfeen, Chairman, Telecard, signed the agreement. 'Choosing Telecard as Allied Bank's technology partner is part of our endeavours to further expand our world class technology platform.
This call center is a step in the right direction ie, towards the growth of our Consumer product portfolio. We are confident that this initiative will go a long way in propelling Allied Bank into the Consumer Banking segment,' remarked Riaz Hussain.
