The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Thursday adjourned hearing till December 15 in an election petition challenging the victory Moonis Elahi son of former Chief Minister Punjab Chaudhry Pervez Elahi for framing proposed issues submitted by both parties. Petitioner Nasir Mehmood Samma a Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) candidate from PP-110 pleaded that he contested election, as rival candidate of Moonis.
He said on the same constituency Imran Ullah was the candidate of PML-N. He alleged that PML-Q led Gujarat district government fully supported Moonis Elahi and grossly rigged the election. He said his voters were threatened of dire consequences for voting in his favour. He said out of total 127 poling stations, he won from 108 poling stations but even then through rigging Moonis was declared winning candidate.
