Overseas bureau for labourers in Peshawar soon

NWFP Minister for Labour, Sher Azam Wazir said on Saturday that Overseas Bureau would soon will be set up in Peshawar to facilitate the labourers intending to proceed abroad to earn livelihood. The Bureau would help both skilled and unskilled labourers with information about countries, they intend to go for jobs.
He said this while talking to a delegation of workers at his office. The Minister said he has informed the matter about establishment of Overseas Bureau in Peshawar the concerned Federal Minister apprised him of the difficulties faced by illiterate labourers while proceeding abroad, as there was no facility in the province available to guide them through immigration laws of the foreign countries.
The labour community of NWFP contributes millions of dollars to the national kitty every year, therefore, there should be an institute that could guide them to right direction, he added. Wazir said, Chairman Peoples Labour Bureau has also assured him of due help and assistance in ameliorating lot of the labourers in the NWFP. He said the federal government would set up colonies, dispensaries and labour halls to uplift the status of workers.
