Pakistan Muslim League-Q (PML-Q) on Saturday asked the government to take decisions on important and sensitive national issues with consultation instead of in a haste. PML-Q leader Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi while talking to reporters after inspecting Pervaiz Elahi Building in FC College University here on Saturday said.
The government had announced the decisions to dissolve National Security Council and send ISI Chief to India in the wake of Mumbai terrorist attacks in "indecent haste". The government must take decisions on important national issues after due consultation to avoid embarrassment, as it had to withdraw the decisions taken by 2-3 persons, he added.
He said: 'we condemn terrorism in India, but New Delhi is levelling allegation against Pakistan before probing into the incidents, which is against the international principles'. India instead of accepting failure of its security institutions is levelling allegations against Pakistan without any investigations just to gain political benefits, he said.
He further said that Pakistan is itself a victim of worst kind of terrorism because innocent people are being killed in missile attacks. Pervaz Elahi criticised the Punjab Government and alleged that funds allocated for Zakat and Bait-ul-Mal are being spent on 'Tanoor' and Food Support Programme.
When asked about the letters written by Governor to Chief Minister Punjab, he said both the parties (PPP and PML-N) have jointly contested elections, made promises and are in coalition in Punjab but failed to evolve any new policy in one year for public welfare. To a question PML-Q leader said the Central Working Committee of PML-Q, which is constitutional body of the party, had already reposed confidence in the leadership of Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain.
