Karachi University, being the largest university of Pakistan, carries a huge responsibility. No doubt it offers good quality education as most of the teachers here are dedicated and hardworking, but along with this there are different problems also being faced by the students, like electricity problem, lack of cleanliness, problems caused by student unions and above all lack of point buses in the university and those we have are in very bad condition due to which students suffer a lot.
Point buses are meant to pick students from different areas, but unfortunately they do not follow proper timings which makes students late for their classes. Many times the point buses are so overloaded that students waiting for them cannot even get in which is so unfair. As it is overloaded it gets tilted over on one side which is very dangerous. There are many spare point buses which are not being used and are standing inside the university since long, instead of being repaired.
Its high time that this problem should be considered and all possible steps should be taken to provide students with appropriate transport facilities. The buses which are not in working condition should be repaired and those which are being used should be maintained in good condition.
